Day 199: Nan and Nora

Today was a big day! It started with my first trip to the grocery store IN the cart. I loved looking around and talking to all the people in the Giant today. Then a very special person came to meet me. Nan (Uncle Scott's mom) came all the way from Boston to come see me. I was so lucky to have her come with Scott and Heather.
Then to continue my social day, Taryn came to visit mommy with my buddy, Nora. She is 3 months now and tried out my Bumbo chair since she doesn't have one at home.
I hung out with her in the pack and play while she chomped on her giraffe toy.
Then I switched into the outfit she was wearing for a photoshoot. She isn't a big sitter upper like me yet (and I've just become one in the past week).
We decided to do some more pictures while she did tummytime. I tried to hold her up by her dress.
Thanks to everyone who came to visit me today. Hopefully Nora will come visit me again soon with her mommy. We had a great time!

Day 198: Sitting Up

Today I practiced sitting up while playing with my tower of stars. Mom set up pillows and blankets around me in case I decided to face plant.
I was enjoying playing with my toys and showing off my new tricks.
Look! Sitting up and playing with toys - what skill.
I sure do think I am hot stuff....

Day 195: Swimming with the Smiths

Today the Smiths stopped in on their way from Poland to their new home in Seattle. We hung out at our pool and had dinner together before Aunt Megan left to go back to California. I was so busy watching the older kids run around I went for 5 hours without eating! Thanks for stopping in to see us!

Day 194: My first fry!

On the way home from Pittsburgh the fam stopped at McD's for some dinner. Much to mommy's chagrin daddy let me suck on my first fry!

Day 193: Sleeping...like I fell out of a building

Dad thinks it looks like I was dropped out of a building when I sleep like this. I'm just getting comfortable.

Day 192: Picnic!

Pap and Gramma threw a picnic in Pittsburgh to celebrate the 4th of July and my 6 month birthday! It was an excellent opportunity to meet some of my extended family.

Here I am with Greataunt Kay.

Pap and Gramma were very patriotically dressed!
Here I am with my first cousin three times removed Mary Jean
I even got to hang out with Bubba! (No relational qualifier necessary)
Here's my second cousin twice removed Kelly. I am looking forward to her wedding in November at St. Mary's on the Mount. I hear they have a sweet organist!
Emily (first cousin once removed) Emily and her husband Adam drove in from Columbus to see me! Emily is headed off to Columbia later this year.
If this gentleman looks familiar it's not because he's Kenny Rogers. He' s much more famous than that! He is the Vice President of Punxsutawney Phil's Inner Circle! (He is also the husband of my first cousin thrice removed.)

We girls don't really care how we are related we are merely too cute for words.
Here I am discussing how beautiful the weather is with Greatuncle Frank and Pap.
Lastly daddy was sure to get my picture with his godparents. I believe this makes them my greatgodparents!

You can see all the pictures daddy took at the picnic here.

Day 191: Aunt Megan and Uncle Nathan

Aunt Megan found time in her crazy busy schedule (three cross continent trips in three weeks!) to come hang out with me for close to a week! I got to come home early from school and play with her. Several times I fell asleep on her and drooled all over her stylish west coast fashion (sorry 'bout that!)

Uncle Nathan came over from visiting his family in Indiana (during which he provided first response for middle of the night feedings to one of his young nephews) to hang out with me too! Unfortunately he had to jet back to the left coast to begin work on the score for "Life As We Know It."

Incidentally, Uncle Nathan makes quite a snappy cupcake display!

Thanks Aunt Megan and Uncle Nathan for making the trip east to come see me! I look forward to my first plane ride later this year to come visit you out in Cali!
